We are delighted to share with you that as of the 31st of July 2015 Health IQ is now part of Australia’s largest eHealth company – Telstra Health.
Since 1996, Health IQ has collaborated with hospitals to deliver innovative solutions to key challenges occurring within the health care space. When we first started out, our goal was to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of communication in health care, and deliver improved visibility of capacity and demand throughout the hospital. To achieve this, we have worked alongside a number of leading Australian hospitals to develop and continually evolve our solution suite to what it is today.
As a result, we are delighted to be well on our way towards achieving our goal, with our solutions delivering results across some of Australia’s largest hospitals and in more than 60 hospitals overall. We couldn’t be prouder to be part of the ongoing innovation journey at these institutions.
At the same time, as we have extended our capabilities in the delivery of our eHealth service, and our business has continued to grow, our vision for the future of Health IQ has also evolved. As a result, we are very excited to be realising the next chapter of our journey by joining Telstra Health in their effort to drive Australian eHealth into the future.
As you know, Telstra Health is a leading provider of eHealth solutions, and we feel their ambition to create a better health system for patients, providers, and funders aligns with our vision for Health IQ. Already, Telstra Health has begun working with the world’s best and most innovative eHealth companies to deliver a fully integrated eHealth system which is truly global in its appeal. Our engagement with Telstra Health will see us become part of this best-of-breed group of organisations helping to shape the future of Australian health care – and we couldn’t be more excited!
Health IQ remains committed to building our business in Australia and is confident that this new relationship will provide us with an opportunity to grow and develop our existing eHealth offering even further, expanding on our existing scale and scope.
For our existing clients, there will be no changes to how we work or who they liaise with. Health IQ will continue to operate as a standalone business entity whilst we pursue the integration of our products with other eHealth solutions. At the same time, our client hospitals will now be amongst the first to leverage our expanded capabilities as we integrate our product suite with other Telstra Health innovations bringing new solutions to market.

Dave Piggott is the Executive Director of Health IQ, and is focused on helping Australian health services achieve better visibility and communication within and across their hospitals. Dave has over 20 years’ experience in Health IT. A graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD) and with a Master in Open Systems (IT), Dave has worked extensively in the Patient Flow area, and helped over 30 Australian hospitals to improve their flow of patients.
